The people of Limerick go all out for the celebration of Ireland’s patron saint, with not one, not two but five days of festivities, enough to rival Dublin. This week long festival has loads of street entertainment in the form of music, street theatre, dance, market stalls and plenty more. The crowning glory is the parade that attracts thousands every year and also the dozens of marching bands that compete in the Limerick International Band Competition....

This festival takes place on the rolling hills that border the counties of Limerick, Cork and Tipperary. The landscape there is full of green pastures and pleasant woodlands; this unspoilt wilderness is a walker’s paradise and there will be various grades of walks from the casual to the strenuous....

August was the traditional month to start celebrating the returns of the harvest, and with food tasting, competitions for restaurants and chefs and a ‘pub food and music trail’ the Limerick Food Festival updates that tradition wonderfully....

Three days of free family entertainment with the best of Irish musical entertainment, parades, street theatre, children's events, regatta, and a fantastic fireworks display. Held in mid July.
